ABRAKADOODLE TWOOSY ART
This is a special art class just for toddlers and parents (or helpers).
Little fingers will experiment with a variety of art media, while
developing fine motor, language and self-help skills. This class
is child-centered, age appropriate and fun.

ABRAKADOODLE ART
Kids will develop their creative side through carefully designed
lessons that spark the imagination, foster creativity and develop
fine motor skills. Using various art materials, these young students
will learn about art techniques and different artists - allowing
them to create their own unique masterpieces. |
ABRKADOODLE: Icky, Slimy, Gooey
Abrakadoodle announces a new program designed for MESSY summer
fun! "Icky, Slimy, Gooey" provides plenty of
opportunities to be hands-on while sparking imaginations!
Whether it's creating a 3-D monster busting out of the picture
frame or an underground painting complete with squirmy bugs, "Icky,
Slimy, Gooey" is sure to provide sloppy giggles and
squishy delight. |
ABRAKADOODLE: KIDS
ON CANVAS
A unique art program that teaches children about painting on a
variety of canvas surfaces with acrylics. Canvas paper, canvas
board and stretched canvas will be used while introducing kids
to master artists like Modigliani, Mondrian, Warhol and Sam Francis.
Students will learn different painting techniques as they create
their own unique masterpieces. Acrylic paints can stain clothing,

ACTING AND PLAY PRODUCTION
Do you have a wild imagination? Bring it along to this exciting
drama and play-making class. Be a part of creating an original
play, and working together as a team: painting the sets, making
the costumes and performing in a completely original show! |
BEACHTIME BALLET
This summer, join the fun of Beachtime Ballet!
This class is a wonderful opportunity to explore the magical world
of creative movement and dance through Ballet and ÒHawaiianÓ dance.Ê ThroughÊcolorful
props, costumes, music, imagery and stories, dancers will learn
creative expression while developing coordination, flexibility,
self confidence and poise. |
BELLYDANCE FOR YOUNG LADIES
Discover the mysteries of "Bellydance" in this uplifting
dance class! Students will learn graceful arm movements and hypnotic
shimmies, as well as basic timing in dance, muscle isolations,and
weight distribution. Benefits include relaxation, aerobic exercise,
increased self-confidence and body awareness. |
CLAYTIME WITH SOURI
One of the best tools for young children to strengthen their fine
motor skills and have fun in a messy way is CLAY. It can be punched,
rolled, pounded, poked, stomped on, and much more. In this class
students will explore the material on the floor with their hands
and feet and later each child will take his/her time to make something
meaningful out of clay. |
CREATIVE JAZZ & BALLET
Students will learn the techniques of classical ballet, jazz, hip-hop,
and creative movement. Throughout the class session students will
become more self-confident as they work on balance, agility, grace,
form and learning choreography. |
DANCE
PARTY: MOMMY AND ME!
Together parent and child will dance, exercise, sing and rock
out to fun music! Using music that both parents and kids can
enjoy, this imaginative class will stimulate your child's interest
in dance and music. |
FUNDAMENTALS OF MUSIC AND MOVEMENT
Get ready to sing, dance, play and learn about music! FUNdamentals
will have kids (and adults!) up and moving with traditional and
original songs, instruments, games and group activities ... not
to mention creative movement and yoga, too! Teacher Davis also
works with children with special needs and encourages their participation
as well. |
KIDS YOGA
Through this fun yoga class your child will gain flexibility,
strength, concentration, and balance as they learn to calm their
minds and bodies. This class is taught organically with an emphasis
on exploring movement and yoga in new ways. |
INTRO TO DRAWING
Children will learn basic drawing concepts such as the horizon
line, illusion of depth, tone and scale in this fun step-by-step
class. Students will enjoy using charcoal pencils, soft pastels
and other drawing tools as they successfully learn how to draw
a variety of animals and create the settings for their creatures. |
JUMP AND JIVE: KIDS ON THE MOVE
Introduce your child to the wonderful
world of music and movement. Your child will jump, jive, shuffle,
tumble and spin while learning motor skills, balance, flexibility,
and rhythm. This high energy class includes lots of creative movement
and interactive games, bubbletime, whimsical props, and obstacle
courses. |
L.A. KIDSTARS HIP-HOP
Dance like no one's watching! The talented L.A. Kidstars
instructors teach the latest hip-hop moves, funky dance routines,
breakdancing basics, and tricks. We will combine all of our skills
and material learned in class to put together an informal recital
for family and friends.

LIL' SHUTTERBUGS
Photo fun for the little one! Each week students will learn
simple photo concepts as they create their own photo projects.
Children will enjoy Sunprint Developing, Trick Pix, Popsicle People,
and exploring photography as they spend time in front of and behind
the camera. (*Materials fee includes disposable cameras and developing) |
LITTLE STARS THEATER
Your "Little Star" will enjoy this fun-filled developmental
drama program that provides young children with the opportunity
to develop clear speech, build confidence, and learn social skills.
Students will learn through a wide range of creative activities
including speech, drama, dance, storytelling, dress-up and more. |
MAKE YOUR OWN HALLOWEEN COSTUME
Students will create a fabulous and versatile assortment of make
believe items as they design and build their own costumes. We'll
explore costume-making skills such as measuring, cutting, sewing,
and gluing as we prepare for Halloween! (6 week class) |
ME AND MY DRUMS: TODDLER DRUM TIME
This dynamic drumming class celebrates the discovery of music as
a form of expression. Students will use a variety of percussion
instruments from around the world including drums, shakers, rattles,
and bells as they learn basic rhythmic concepts. Parent / Helper
particiation is required. Come bang a drum with us! |
MOVE AND GROOVE AT
THE LOUVRE
This is a high-energy class devoted to tumbling, movement, dancing
and art. Each week the students will explore a different subject
(rhythm, levels, shapes) and get their creative engines roaring
through the body and onto the page. |
MUSIC-N-MOVEMENT
This fun-filled music class is for children and helpers. Students
will learn simple songs, hand rhymes, and play rhythm instruments
while exploring music and movement in songs and stories. Through
these activities children will build fine motor skills, learn
social skills and become more confident as they grow. |
PRINCESS BALLET
This class is just for pint-sized princesses! In this magical creative
movement class students will enjoy colorful props, costumes, music,
imagery and stories. While learning the basics of ballet, students
will also build coordination, reflexes, and balance. |
PRINTMAKING FOR KIDS
Students will become familiar with the process of printmaking through
simple and safe materials and techniques. They will learn the principles
of composition through directed projects such as making stamps,
carving prints, creating posters and more. |
ROYAL BALLET
This class is similar to "Princes Ballet" but
more challenging. Children will learn the basics of ballet in a
structured and fun environment. Students ages 3 to 4 years must
meet teacher approval to join this class. |
SCRAPBOOK & HANDCRAFT GREETING CARDS
Have you ever wanted to make your own greeting card for your family
and friends, or make a scrapbook that looks like a work of art?Ê Well,
now you can! Students will learnÊhow to create beautiful
scrapbooks using stencils,Êstamps and stickers.ÊProfessional
Greeting Card Artist, Mykle McCoslin teaches scrapbooking, as
well as how to make unique handcraft greeting cards. |
SPANISH: MUSIC AND
LANGUAGE CIRCLE
This class is a gentle introduction to the Spanish Language. Students
are taught basic concepts (colors, prepositions, numbers) as well
as vocabulary, and simple phrases through literature, hand puppets,
music, games and art projects. |
SPANISH: SING AND LEARN
Come practice and learn Spanish through storytelling, music, art,
games, and other interactive activities. Learning is fun in this
friendly and supportive Spanish class. |
SWASHBUCKLING AND SWORDPLAY!
Come learn the theatrical art of swordplay! Taught in a safe and
supportive environment, this class will build self-control, balance,
hand-eye coordination, and teamwork; while students learn sword
fighting, role-playing, and stage combat. There will be an informal
showcase of choreographed work at the conclusion of the session. |
STORYBOOK ART
Each week we'll read a favorite story and create amazing
works of art! This class is designed to enhance your childÕs
enjoyment of storytelling, and encourage their awareness of illustrations.
The hands-on projects range from printing and drawing, to cutting,
collage, construction and painting. Stories will include "The
Cat in the Hat," "Mr. Seahorse," "Goodnight
Moon," and many other favorites. |
TALL TALES: From Page to Stage
Does your child have a wild imagination? Put it to use in this
energetic class where students use their mind, body and voice to
create and perform original characters and stories. Students will
enjoy a variety of drama activities and storytelling. |
TODDLER'S BANG-A-DRUM
Join Chris Reid, owner of Bang a Drum and Drum Circle Party, for this fun series
of rhythm and movement classes. We will be using a variety of percussion instruments
from around the world including drums, bells, shakers and rattles from Africa,
India, the Middle East, and more. We will play age-appropriate games that introduce
the joy of making music and basic rhythmic concepts including timbre, pitch,
tempo, dynamics, etc, through song, movement, story, and drumming. Children
must be accompanied by a participating adult. Fun will be had by all! |
Toy Design
This unique class provides students with the opportunity to design
and create their own action figure, fashion doll, superhero,
or other 'fantastical figure.' Students will brainstorm
ideas and learn all about toy creation as they imagine, design,
build, problem solve, and become proud inventors! |
TUNES FOR TINY TOTS
Spark your little one's imagination with this lively class
featuring puppets, musical instruments, props, stories, ribbons,
bubbles and more. This is the perfect opportunity for your child
to learn about music and movement while interacting with other
'wee ones' and enjoying a wonderful musical experience. |
WIGGLE AND BLUES
This dynamic music class will feature toddler favorites, hand plays,
folk and story songs. Students will find their voices and celebrate
the discovery of music as a form of expression. Teacher Even Barrett-Caston
has experience with children with special needs and encourages
their participation in this class. |
